One of our last moments as a family of 2

Nelson and I got to go to watch Barcelona play at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, which is an amazing venue with the largest screen in the world, I believe!  The game was awesome, Nelson was so thrilled to see them play live!  It was my 1st live soccer game to watch - it is a very unique experience!  We both loved it!

Almost there!

I cant believe that Gabi can come any day now!  I will be 39 weeks on Wednesday and I have to be ready for her now!  I still wish I had the house cleaner and done more reading, more prepping, etc... However, we are really anxious to meet her too! We went to the Doctor last Friday and had a sonogram on Wednesday.  She is 6.5 lb (3 kg quasi), with an error margin of + or - 1lb!  The Doctor said she has come down some from last time but I an not dilated yet.  My uterus is still measuring small despite her weight being adequate.  I feel some cramping, leg muscle spasms and the "nesting syndrome," which makes me believe she is coming very soon!  My mood has changed some too, poor Nelson!
We decided to hire a Dula to help with delivery and to empower us to try the natural experience.  I have my birth plan ready to go and a list of reasons why I want to avoid any pain meds.  I know that I cannot predict how birth is going to be and I am flexible in case my plans change... I will try my best to do it with as little intervention as possible though.  Some think I am crazy but many support us in our decision.  I don't know if I will have a chance to update this blog once more before she is finally born... Again, thank you for your prayers!  What really matters is that she is born healthy and that God will guide us from birth on how to raise her to be a godly girl and bring honor to His Name.

Se alguem q ler nao entender a mensagem a cima, por favor dizer-me e eu traduzirei tudo.Peca rapido pois ela vai nascer a qualquer hora!

OBGYN Visit

We saw the doctor again last Friday and had to do a non-stress test to check her heart rate in relation to her movements.  All is well with her - she was asleep at 1st so they had to wake her up with a buzzer and then she started moving and her heart rate went up.  She is moving a little less now due to less room.  I am feeling a lot of leg cramps/spasms which the doctor said is normal since she may be pressing on a nerve that causes that.  So far, there is no signs of eminent labor... she has not yet descended and my cervix has not effaced (shortened).  I do get the Braxon Hicks contractions though (which are common at this point in pregnancy).  Nelson and I are still preparing for her.  I am now making a bag of pain coping tools (music, images, oils, massage tools, hot/ice packs, aromotherapy, etc) since I don't plan to get an epidural (unless I need an emergency c-section or pitocin).  Please pray for Gabi to be born healthy and for a smooth labor... I am scared of the pain and complications!  Thank you!
